Thanks for sharing this. I will share the article with my husband, in hopes that maybe if he sees the road he could go down is so devastating to ALL, might wake him up.... I can only hope, but there is always a doubt inside that he won't ever wake up. I don't need him to understand, he understands... I need him to change his ways, to actually actively change his direction. Understanding sometimes is not enough.

Athena, I was also wanting to forewarn you that Tg hubbies are so far up their own asses & living the pink fog that they are not open to any info or opinions that contradict their fetish....It's classic narcissism, not admitting wrong doing, opinions etc. I tried for a good 4 months to get mine to see medical reports, alternate forums, articles etc. he just got more irritated & determined. In the meantime, I was spending more energy on him, instead of my own healing. Like dealing with an addict, you have to take care of yourself & sometimes move out of their way.

Thank you loveliessleeping... I can see that. I started to "wake up" from my selflessness about the time that he came out to me... it was like he was taking over my stepping out! I was so angry! I told him that he's a selfish prick, that I started to see me again and instead I was confronted with an ugly monster bitch who wanted to take over my closet! It pissed me off. He keeps telling me to do things for myself and get new makeup and clothing... I hesitate because of a couple reasons...

1. Is he telling me to do this out of his own guilt for shitting up everything?
2. Is he just adding to his own wardrobe without having to buy stuff for himself, in the guise of it being for me?

Whatever it is, it's selfish and "taking" mentality.... he just takes and overrides anything I try to do. It's discouraging and infuriating!

My husband has a tremendous amount of guilt, but refuses to see any resource that does not support transitioning as an affront, an attack on him, and he does everything he can to dispute it. That blog about the Masculinity of Transition? Holy shit, he found some stuff and told me it was a radical feminist way of thinking....What he found was filled with hatred towards men, and what I described to him was simply an explanation of how things seem to be working out from a woman's view. He will always be misogynistic. He will never get the irony. Lost cause.

I love the posts at the links shared. They are dead on. I too shared them with my husband. His response was, "bitter much?" We have a lot of really kind, loving talks and had another one after that. It's just all such bullshit. I'm sure one day I'll have a better word but for now I feel obligated to include it at least once in every post, lest him or anyone else forget that I find the ridiculousness of this entire situation to be bullshit.
