Spouses of Transgender Community Group
Being transgender it's not easy but neither for their spouses. This group is created with the intention of helping and getting to know others that are in. the same situation or to just educate those that are on the other side of the fence and want to know how does it feel or how would it feel to be a spouse of a transgender person. The main objective of this group is...
I have no experience with this yet though a lot of other women here do. Sylph was kind of blogging progress reports for awhile from the very beginning of her spouse going on HRT. I think other wives' spouses were already on it when they came to this forum. Hopefully someone with knowledge will fill you in, though every person's reaction to estrogen is slightly different.
Good luck and hugs

I think my fears about it were worse than the reality, so please don't panic too much. I hope your husband will include you in things from now on, as that is the only way to make things work.
Sending love xx
I am, like Sylph, and GR, sorry that your spouse chose not to share with you and made the decision with out you. I am struggling with whether to stay or not, I am in counseling and sometimes I just want to say "You made your choice without considering me. These are the consequences."
I'm trying not to be mean or hurtful, but this is painful and awful. I am so depressed that I am barely functioning.
All my best girls.
I said I NEED this as much as you NEED hormones, wigs, etc. again, he refused to agree to complete transparency
I feel broken
My spouse too started hormones without telling me, and I was so upset that I wasn't told. I felt like I didn't matter. There were other things he didn't tell me and it really shakes the foundation of trust. It's something I struggle with in our relationship.
As for what is coming up, I can only let you know from my experience with my spouse being on hormones for well over 2 years. His body has changed, he's lost some muscle, his skin is softer, he's developed breasts (which I'm not attracted to at all), he smells different, and his body shaped has changed. On the upside, he's more calm and not as quick to get angry. Of course it will vary how your spouse will react to the hormones, but for my spouse...once he started there's no way he'll ever go back.
Hope you're okay, and tomorrow brings a better day.
He's very secretive too, so my trust in him is gone. I agree with Ina, I feel like I just don't matter any more and there is no way he will go back. I wish you well LD. This is a rough journey, but you are not alone.
Thanks everyone
The only thing my spouse needed me to sign off on was gender reassignment surgery. Everything else (including all other surgeries) were done without my knowledge or permission.
Now, we are separated and in the process of divorcing, so I am fine with my spouse not consulting me. Hir life. I'm out, and ze can do as ze wishes. My state, however, does not recognize "separation" as a marital state. You are married or you aren't, so even if we had been living together, my consent would not have been needed.
