So many of us seem to spend hours upon hours dealing with our H's addictions that WE have gotten lost in this addcition.
Their slips, their progress, good and bad..... what happened to US??? what about the days that we didn't snoop or try to stop them from cheating, or lying? What about I worked out for myself today and damn I feel good? What about I enrolled in school and I start taking classes at the end of the month?
Where did all that go? Where did "I woke up today and didn't think about who my H was screwing today cause it doesn't matter!!" I slept good and woke up in my own place with my own thoughts and was worried about how my day was going to be?
Where are the posts that are about us and how WE are doing and what we are doing to take care of ourselves?
I know it's consuming and I know that it's hard to let go. I SUCK AT IT!!! But I thought we are supposed to encourage each other to take care of ourselves. Not to get them lie detector tests and how to rig the computer so you can spend more time obssessing over what they are doing.
Whew, glad to know there's happiness. Lately I have had lots of fear, and anger. I'm hoping the choice to be done leads to happiness. I truly believe I've been postponing the inevitable to avoid this part of it, but I know that when the feelings subside and the dust settles this really is in my best interest!!!
THANK YOU again for the words that there's happiness. I'm excited to start MY life and not have to deal with this crazy making addiction!
I am also grateful to hear these words. THANK YOU. My husband found a new place to live yesterday and will be moving in there next Sunday. I felt anxious when he told me as I know that this really does signal the end but I do feel better today. I am trying to look forward. Over the weekend, on the way home from seeing my baby granddaughter, I took a long, peaceful ride back through towns I'd never be in. Stopped and took photos and found myself regaining a bit of myself.
