This will be the first year that we have the oc during the holidays. The ow is already saying that we don't have the oc for Thanksgiving, which I don't get because we are suppose to alternate years and she had her last year...so who knows what's going to happen. Then we are suppose to have her for Christmas day (according to the stipulation) and she is already pulling some BS and wants us to give up that holiday as well. Our plans are to do our normal traditions for the holidays. All of our close family and friends know about the oc, so luckily we won't have to deal with the snickers and looks. I'm just so sick of this woman thinking she can have her cake and eat it too! We are paying child support and we deserve to have time with the oc. Especially our 3 kids...they don't understand all of this and want their little sister to be with us for Christmas. She has no regard for my kids or their feelings and it really pisses me off. I'm getting real close to telling this bitch off! The only thing is that all the kids are around when we see her and I don't want to make the kids feel uncomfortable. I may just have to give her a call to let her know cause I'm sick of holding my tongue!

Amethyst....have you had the oc during holidays yet? What are your plans?

We had him for a private christmas last year, just 3 hours at our house. The only one there were my H, my 3 kids, my H daughter and his mom and dad. I have not told anyone in my family, that I do not see on a daily bases. And when they do happen to stop by the the OC is at my house they do not interact with him to much. He is a sweet little boy and I do care for him and I do not want him feeling like we are hiding him, but I just can seem to go public with it. It might be easier if my H went public with it, but he hasn't. As far as the holidays, I will not be hosting it this year and my H has never stated he want him around, so I have no idea. My H doesn't talk about his son at all, he only comes up when he has to go pick him up. I guess i am wanting to know do I force him to go public with his 2 year old son or do I just wait???

we offered to not have him last year and again this year for xmas eve and xmas day. Not that we dont want him...but we travel and we would not be able to do that unless his mother let us have him both days..she wont. We also would rather have him the day after xmas when we celebrate w my h's family. i also think its unfair to him...a few hours with either parent..then have to leave myhis toys behind. It works for now. my family has been very accepting. i have been bringing him around more and more to everyone. all my friends that are important to me have met him. we havent taken him to church with us yet. still a long road ahead of us.
