Jadded- I'm so sorry you're going through this too! I can understand your feelings of jealously that he has a son. Although my husband has an OC (she is 1.5 also) I was glad that she was a girl because it makes it easier for my husband to not have contact. Even the fact his other daughter is a girl is what keeps him a little more distant (though technically she wasn't an OC, it was a strained relationshp in the beginning. Our relationship was new and her mother thought I was just some random girl who wouldn't be around long and she would end up with him one day...here we are 10 years later lol). It's hard for some guys to relate to girls unless they see them daily and are there the whole time growing up. We have NC also and I think if it were a boy it'd be harder for my husband to keep that up as they got older. The bond between my husband and our son is priceless. Even before he told me about OC, his first reaction to OW wasn't even about me, it was about our son. He was devastated asking her "how am I supposed to tell my son I cheated on his mother!?" I know the fact that I have his son and the bond he has kills OW and his other daughters mother also. Now if we have a girl I know it'll hurt her even more because they'll see he'll eventually have a bond with our daughter that he won't have with her daughter. Anyways...The fact that your OW is refusing a DNA SCREAMS that there is a big chance that the child isn't your husbands. As I've seen, most OW's are proud to take DNA tests so they can rub it in our faces that the kid is our H's. Our OW had to get multiple DNA test done and finally came to my husband after the other 2 came out 0% and asked for one. He refused it because he didn't even want to know since he knew he wouldn't be having contact anyway, but she took him to court for it along with money. If your OW knew without a doubt that this kid was your H's then she'd be jumping at the chance to get a DNA test as more proof to dangle in your face (they are an awful breed). The good thing is that if she ever decides to server your DH with CS papers, they will have to do a DNA test before they make him pay anything. And in most cases (like in ours) they can't ask for back child support, they can only get it from the day he was legally determined to be the father. It took me 8 months to get pregnant this time, and that included 2 miscarriages in between. The stress an OC causes definitely takes a toll on us. With our son I got pregnant 2nd cycle off birth control. I with you luck and hope that you get pregnant very soon!
