I AM AWAITING A HEARING DATE LIKE MANY OF YOU FOR SSD.I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THE SOUL SUPPORTER OF OUR FAMILY OF SIX.WHEN I COULD NO LONGER TAKE THE PAIN FROM MY CAR CRASH AND TRYING JOB AFTER JOB ONLY TO PROVE TO MYSELF THAT I JUST CANT DO IT ANYMORE.I CANNOT SIT OR STAND FOR MORE THAN HALF HOUR INTERVALS AND THE PAIN TRAVELS THROUGH MY BACK ,HIPS AND LEGS..AFTER HAVEING OUR VEHICLE ,APPLIANCES AND FURNITURE REPOED,I APPLIED FOR PUBLIC ASSISTENCE TO TRY TO KEEP THE ROOF OVER OUR HEADS AND UTILITES ON.THIS IS SOMETHING I WAS VERY EMBARRASSED TO DO BUT FELT I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE.WELL, ANYONE FAMILIAR WITH THE SYSTEM KNOWS THIER MAIN CONCERN IS MAKEING YOU WORK FOR YOUR CHECK.PICKING UP GARBAGE ALONG THE ROAD OR DOING ANYTHING DEGRADEING.IF YOU CANT WORK THEN YOU NEED A DOCTORS NOTE.WELL, LAST SUMMER MY ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON WROTE I COULD NOT WORK AT PRESENT TIME.WELL,PA HAS BEEN SENDING ME LETTER AFTER LETTER TO GO TO ALL THESE JOB FAIRS .I HAD COPIES OF THREE LETTERS FROM MY DOCTORS STATEING MY PROBLEMS THAT I WAS SUPPOSSED TO SEND TO MY LAWYER SO I JUST SENT COPIES TO PA ALSO.IT LISTED ALL MY PROBLEMS AND THE ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON EVEN WROTE ACROSS THE BOTTOM NO WORK AT PRESENT TIME.THEN TODAY I GET A BIG PACKET IN THE MAIL FROM PA WANTING FIVE PAGE IN DEPTH EXPLANATIONS FROM ALL THREE DOCTORS TO EXPLAIN WHY I CANT WORK OR IF I CAN DO SOMETHING LIMITED.IT HAS TO BE TURNED IN BY 7-10-09 OR THEY CANCEL MY CHECK.WELL I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE PAPERS I ALREADY SENT WERENT GOOD ENOUGH AND IT ALSO MAKES NO SENCE FOR THEM TO REQUEST MORE THAN ONE DOCTORS SAY SO.PA ALSO HAS ON FILE MY ACCIDENT,INJURIES AND THAT I AM WAITING FOR SSD.I HAD A HARD ENOUGH TIME TO GET THE DOCS TO FILL OUT ONE PAGE,THEY ARE ALWAYS TO BUSY AND BITCHY FOR PAPERWORK I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO GET THEM TO FILL ALL THE FIVE PAGES OUT.,AND BY THE DEAD LINE IS IMPOSSIBLE.I HAVE WORKED SINCE I WAS FIFTEEN AND BELIEVE ME IF I COULD I STILL WOULD BE..I HAVE BEEN CRYING ALL DAY,I CANNOT HANDLE ANYMORE STRESS..WHY MUST WE KEEP GETTING KNOCKED DOWN WHEN WE ARE ONLY TRYING TO KEEP OUR HEADS ABOVE WATER..I HAVE FOUR KIDS COUNTING ON ME AND ANYMORE I AM NO GOOD EVEN TO MYSELF.I JUST WANT TO GIVE UP....I JUST HOPE SSD COMES THROUGH FOR ME AND PA CAN GO TO HELL!!!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). You are disabled under Social Security rules if you cannot do work that you did before and if they decide that you cannot adjust to other work because of your medical condition(s). You have a valid claim if you have been disabled or are expected to be disabled for 12 consecutive months, or your condition will result in your death.
Get copy of Residual Functional Capacity Questionnaire - make copies for ALL your doctors to fill out and in your own words make up a letter answering all the questions - make sure to include how these diseases affect your life. It is not enough for your doctors to just say you are disabled and cannot work. You and your doctors must prove how your conditions prevent you from performing various work tasks and daily activities. They also will need to provide the necessary medical test results and documentation to back up your claim for disability. You may wish to revise this sample to better reflect your own limitations, then ask your doctor to fill out your own version instead of whatever DDS sends:
