ALJ Hearing Tomorrow Morning - HELP!

I just stumbled upon this site or I would have asked earlier. I have my ALJ Hearing tomorrow and I am in a panic. Anyone that has gone through it, can you let me know what to expect? I have lupus, sjogrens syndrome, severe anxiety & depression along with a lot of other medical issues (restless leg, osteoperosis, IBS, herniated cervical discs, etc). I am so worried because I have a lot of cognitive disfunction & memory problems so it is so hard for me to think of what to say on the spot and usuallly I leave out a lot of improtant information when with doctors, etc. so I am worried I will simply forget to tell the judge everything. Any info. on types of questions, how it goes with the Vocational Expert, etc. would be great. I know I am not getting any sleep tonight lol. I am just desperate for this to be done with...the stress of applying has taken such a toll on me. I just need to get approved so I can stop focusing on this stress enducing garbage and focus on my health and getting well. BTW, I appplied in 1/06 so it has been a long process of denial after denial. And my judge has a 49% approval ratio....ugghhh!! Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you & wish me luck!

Heather, how did it go with the hearing? I am sorry that you have been waiting so long. I think its horrible that people have to wait so terribly long (including myself).

I hope you had an attorney or some type of representation for your hearing. Otherwise, some of the ALJ's like to just rip you apart and while that is not the right thing for them to do, it still happens and its very stressful. Lord knows I have been there and done that over a course of about 7 years and hate it when I hear about those that are still fighting the battle that has gone on more than 2 years.

No matter the outcome, please do not give up. But, I am hoping that you got a positive outcome!

I was approved! I didn't even have to testify! We modified the application date to a later date when my health took a significant turn for the worse and the judge said that is what he was thinking when he reviewed my file and based on us volunteering to do so, he did not find it necessary to take testimony from me as he altready made his decision based on my medical evidence. I am so relieved and grateful that this LONG process is finally coming to a close and i can focus on my health and not have this stress. I can't fathom going through it for seven years. Thanks for your feedback and goood thoughts!

I am so happy for you! I have been waiting for about three years. I am always happy to hear that someone gets what they paid into. Congratulations.

I am very happy for you! I was approved in feb of this year, it is a relief. Hope you get your money soon, I got mine 2 weeks after i was approved.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
