SOBs Significant Others of Borderlines Community Group
Spouses and family members of people who have borderline personality disorder (BPD) are often victims of violent behavior, and frequent physical and emotional abuse . There is typically conflict in the relationship and in the individuals who are committed to maintaining the relationship in the presence of this disorder.
I deeply and sincerely believe that almost everything I do, or want to do, needs to be done better than I can do it, so my effort is just a waste. This is the result of 15 years with a overbearing step-mother and an alcoholic father. To most people, I seem lazy and unmotivated.
Because my stepmother loved material things and admired the people who had them, I hate people who have "too much" money.
Since I am unable to express my desires when they conflict with those of another person, I am a complete doormat and a total failure in negotiations.
