Welcome To My Problem...Some Advice Please
jeanne36roses
Some of you may not know that I was in the hospital for a couple of weeks over the Thanksgiving Day weekend. Well, I also had electric shock therapy while I was there. I got out on Tuesday. My problem is that I have had some short-term memory loss. I keep trying to grab my cigarettes. I was about to leave this morning and I grabbed my purse, keys, and was looking for my ciggies when I called myself a stupid bi---. Not that is getting bad.Its totally weird to forget that I do not smoke anymore. Its been 167 DAYS and I can't remember that I am not a smoker.

Don't worry Jeanne- we'll keep reminding you. The important thing is that you are on your way to recovery. I just want you to be happy and whole and enjoy your life. Maybe you should put a little sign up on your mirrors, friedge, the back door that says "I AM NOT A SMOKER"... stay calm and we are here for you.

That is really amazing, Jeanne! After I thought about it, I can understand how that can happen. I like forerica's idea about the notes reminding you and we will certainly help! Maybe those thoughts will come and go but you have made it this far and we know you will stay strong! NOPE!
