i am 6 weeks 2 days off nicotine and feel very anxious is this normal?
Have you been rewarding yourself for your amazing accomplishment? Rewards are very important, especially early in a quit. They actually will help your brain reverse the damage done by nicotine addiction. Rewards do not have to be expensive, nor do they even have to cost anything at all. All that is required is that they make you feel special, give you a warm & fuzzy feeling.
Distraction is also important. Do not focus on how you are feeling. That will just make the feelings stronger. Tell yourself that what you are experiencing is good, that the feelings are signs of healing, and then go do things to keep you mind off of them.
OldJack, you're very welcome. Congratulations to you for your 1+ month quit.
You both, and everyone else here, totally rock. I love seeing people kick demon a##.
Keep up the great quits, everyone.
