I'm really, really having a hard time with those surprise cravings.
Ya know...when you're just goin' about your business without even thinking about smoking or not...
And think you'll go have a smoke just as a regular part of the course of the day. Then remember..oh..no..I quit smoking.
I'm not explaining this well. Anyone know what I mean?
Believe in yourself dear. You can do this....just sayin'
Yes I had surprise cravings as well... I had many days where I stopped to make sure I had my cigarrettes before leaving in the morning. This was after my quit... there were no cigarettes! I also used to start walking outside when I was on the phone. When I smoked, I went outside to smoke, when I quit, I started walking out side more than once, like I was going to smoke... then I would have to remind myself that I do not smoke!!! (duh) Just remember, smoking was a large part of your life for a long time, it is only natural that it will take time to readjust to not having it in your life. It is almost like the death of a loved one, or a pet. You know they are gone, but there are times you think they will be there when you get home. I promise,,, as time goes on, this will slowly stop. Then one day you will be here telling someone else how easy it was to quit. LOL I mean, you will be encouraging the next quitter. ;)
Stay strong, you did the right thing by coming here.
It really does help that you guys " get" it.
Thanks

I'm glad you posted! as you can see? You are not alone with what you're feeling. I've currently got 18 mo. smoke free and I still get some cravings on occasion. But they pass quickly if i take a few cleansing breaths and say I am no longer a smoker..
Bless your heart! and keep up the good quit!! :)
