Well, simple, live fat or die skinny, your choice.
I gained about ten pounds on my first month. I ate everything that didn't move. Pounds of chocolate. I increased my pedaling to one hour daily while watching tv. Got over cravings and the need to eat, so now im back to normal and feeling healthier.
I don't know about PE, but im sure its scary and next time you might not survive.
This is a great group that made my quit road very smooth.

I think it takes a major mindset change. I workout a lot. For me it is definitely an issue of eating food that my body doesn't need. There is a level of acceptance...acceptance of personal responsibility, how I'm feeling, allowing myself to risk not shoving things down (with smokes or food) & finding another way to cope. When I can get my mind into that place, I lose the weight.
Have you tried therapy to help you manage the issues that had you overeating &/or smoking in the first place?
I have smoked a lot less yesterday, mostly because I was out of town and left the cigarettes at home.
The thing is that, aside from the eating, I have no other issues when I quit.
I see my doctor tomorrow and will work up the courage to mention that I started smoking again. I can't jeopardize my health since I've been given a huge break by surviving the PE.
I've been on Coumadin for many years, and have a ton of medication I've been on, still on etc and this is the only medication that I have no side affects from! Oh, one thing I learned the hard way is u should have your Coumadin (warfarin is the generic) filled at the same pharmacy every month, and make sure its the same company making it. Normally pharmacies go with what company is cheapest and it can change time to time. Different companies can simply have a different dye in them and will throw u all out of whack!
Ice chips have been my latest addiction! When I start craving something and shouldn't have it I just go to my fridge door and fill a big cup with crushed ice, by time I'm done with it I've forgotten my craving!
