Hell, I cant even resist chocolate in my house and cigs are much more addictive!!!
throw them out.
Let those cigarettes dance around in your mind and keep them just an arm's reach away and you are literally "playing with fire" (excuse the pun).
As the Lord's prayer says: "lead us not to temptation but deliver us from evil". Those cigarettes lurking in your house are a flashing neon sign reading "temptation" in my humble opinion,.
I think you might be reluctant to dispose of the smokes because you still have reservations about your quit. This is understandable. We all have experienced the terror of giving up an addiction! It is like leaving us with a huge gaping whole in ourselves!
However - half measure avail us nothing. They do not avail us 'half" - they avail us "nothing". The quit must be 100% or there is likelihood the quit will be zero.
Remember darling - quitting is just one day at a time. So even if you toss all your cigarettes - no worries about letting go. You can buy cigarettes any time you wish to IF you decide the quit isn't what you want. If you choose to start smoking again - it is just a mere matter of minutes to replenish your stock any time you want.
But for today - if you truly want to quit smoking - the "enemy" has got to go. Remove as many obstacles you can as you continue on your journey. It takes courage to do this and it is a real turning point in your recovery to let go completely...just for today.
Keep the faith and deliver yourself from evil.
