:) And I think I'm here to stay. After repeatedly messing up I had one of those, "I'm breaking down, look at ME! I'm breaking down, please tell me you want me to smoke! You quit but I'm different and totally can't do this, please tell me to smoke!" breakdowns on Saturday night. I cried for a couple of hours and told my husband I hated my life. His response, "Looks to me like you're just quitting smoking. And you're being rather dramatic about it. You need to make up your mind, do you smoke or do you not smoke? Cause right now you're just torturing yourself."

He's right. Time to buck up and make a decision. Since I've already come this far I'm going to continue on my journey. I'm done. No more one here and one there. It's pointless and stupid and I actually had a "cigarette hangover" yesterday. My poor lungs were on fire. I'm going to start joining roll call again. This is day 2!!! Hope everyone is doing well!

d you are back Jess and 'back for good'. Your Hubby is so right, you just have to make up your mind that you are DONE with this addiction. This journey sure isn't easy,nothing worth having ever is, you really have to work at it.After 72+hours, the nicotine is out of your system and you now just fight the mental,physical addiction. READ read then read some more. The post Grannie just found "25 Ways...." is an excellent one to start with...Good luck.

BTW, where did that occasional cigarette come from??? Why put temption right in your face. Get rid of ALL smoking material, even butts laying on the ground.Looking forward to seeing you at Roll AND Pledge.

Friends. Friends with cigarettes. Family with cigarettes. Everyone except for my husband and my dad, with cigarettes. I started with the, "well, if I'm not buying them then I'm not really smoking" and bummed them off of anyone who would give them to me. If my friends refused I'd find someone who didn't know me to give me one. Or, "everyone else here is smoking and I'm inhaling the second hand smoke, may as well have one." I think I have to ditch everyone for a while. I'm officially a hermit! (Ok, not really, but things will have to change for a while. I hope my friends will understand.) Thanks for the welcome back!

Welcome back Jessica. Many of us have relapsed before. All thats important now is you are here and starting over!!

I know you can do this!! Stick close to the forum. No asking anyone for a cigg.!!! Its a "set up" as you know.......nicotine is addictive even in small amts. I'm glad you are back! :)

I can picture it! Your husband is right, its self torture. Its your decision to either smoke or be done. We chose this! Playing with cigs always brought me back to full smoking. Since I really don't want to smoke, I have to repeat the whole torture. Dahhhh.
Your husband sounds like a keeper : )
