I do talk to people about my experience with quitting and if they ask, I will gladly give them advise. What I don't believe in is pushing at them to stop smoking. When people did that to me it just made me want to smoke more. We were all there once upon a time.I am working on one of my closest friends right now. Very gently as she isn't ready yet. However, since I have quit, I have noticed that alot of people seem quite interested and ask all kinds of questions such as do I feel better, did I find it hard, what do I do now in place of smoking, etc. I have also had a couple of people express interest in quitting and I try to encourage them without seeming like I am talking them into it. I had one person say that they felt if I could do it, then so could they. I told them to try and find out.

You're right, when you quit, people seem to reevaluate their own habit. Not a bad thing at all.
they say they both want to quit and they are both in their 70s how great is that
