We only think the ciggie is a reward and makes us feel better. In research, it really doesn't. There are approx. 4,000 chemicals that are in cigarettes, several of them work on the pleasure centers in our brain. At 2 WEEKS (HUGE congrats) the majority of chemicals are out of our systems, now is just the HABIT of smoking we miss. I cut straws in half and when a crave hit would whip one out. I would hold it like a cig, tapping off imaginary ashes and even going so far as to inhale thru them. All I got was good clean air. Try it. Stick around and join us for our daily Roll Call and Pledge.. It is a way to keep accountable and also a way we can get to know each other. We are a large, diverse group of people from all over the world, all with the same goal. To learn how to live smoke free.
We welcome you.
Lots of luck and tick around, Mayberry
