"Thank you for taking the time to share your suggestion about cessation success badges with the American Cancer Society. I have forwarded your message to our staff who handle these considerations. Please be assured that your input is important to us and helps us improve our Great American Smokeout and other tobacco cessation resources."
The Smokeout is held on the third Thursday of November. This year, that will be the 17th. That is the day I'm suggesting our combined shows of force and support.
Here is a rough draft of what I will be saying on it. Of course, the numbers will change to whatever they are on the night before.
Hi. My name is Shevie.
I quit smoking on May 23, 2005.
In that time I have NOT smoked 45,856 cigarettes,
saving myself $7,979.
By doing so, I have recovered 1 year, 1 week, and 5 days of my life.
