I have found for myself how necessary a plan is in quitting and to stay quit.
Drink tons of water. Take frequent naps, take walks, and stay busy during difficult cravings.
I found it the most difficult to drive or talk on the phone for any length of time. I found popping a favorite CD and singing loudly while driving helped a lot.
Sugarless candy and gum also helps during cravings.
As you know, the first week is hell and that is why coming here for support is essential. Support in person is a plus too, but not always possible.....so come here often. Do roll call until you have stopped....then do daily pledges to help keep you accountable and so we can help you keep track so we can help celebrate your victories :)
You can do this!!! Keep a positive attitude....you are not losing your best friend (friends don't try to kill you).

I won't lie! The 1st week is hard, but with each passing day it gets easier.
When the cravings hit, there are 5 D's that are helpful:
Delay, deep breaths, distract, Discuss, (come to DS or another supportive source) drink water.

Sounds like you got it together, and one thing for sure...percentage wise men have a good record for quitting and staying quit. Sorry to say "us girls" not so much.
