I HAVE NARCOLEPTSY FOR ALMOST 18 YRS NOW. USED TO BE ON ADDERALL , NOW I'M NOT TAKING ANYTHING. WHAT ABOUT YOU ALL. SOME PEOPLE SAY THAT THE MEDS ARE CAUSING ARE NIGHT MARES I DO NOT THIS IS SO.

i have tried so many meds and nothing has worked so now i dont bother and put up with it so i have to sleep a few times aday, i come alive at night lol, dr said it looks like im one of theunlucky 1s thats meds wont work on. i now look at this as a gift i mean if everyone in the world was the same i think it would be a pretty boring place

I have taken Adderall and Provigil for about 2 years now and although it would cause most people to bounce off the walls, I was still exhausted and falling asleep during the day. I started on the Xyrem program the last week in September and I am doing so much better. It's only been a month but combined with the Adderall and Provigil, I feel like I'm starting to get my life back, I hope the progress continues. I was so stressed so I was having real problems with the sleep paralysis and some mornings it would take me close to 2 hours to even get out of bed - now, I'm still very achy but I'm able to move in the mornings and haven't been late for work for a while now.

I CAN ONLY TAKE ADDERALL. THE OTHER 2 JUST GIVE ME BAD SIDE EFFECTS

I take Nu vigil, but I think its to strong, I can't stay asleep more than hour at a time, I have to nap for at least 20 to 40 min every couple of hours, but at night I can be up for several hours. Previously was taking Dexedrine probably for 30 yrs, I don't rely much on drugs I only take them on days I have a big agenda, most of the time I just nap when needed, Lucky I have a job where I can do that! Never heard of Adder all, what is it for and what does it do.

I take 80mg of Adderall, two pills when I awake and 2 around noon. and 250mg of Nuvigil broken up in the same way. Nuvigil can make me feel zombie like at times but the Adderall helps with that. I also take 1-2mg Xanax at bedtime to relax me enough for sleep which works perfect! It has been years now and I am still searching for the right combo of meds so I can possibly get back to the life I once enjoyed. Good luck to you, hang in there and I wish you the best :) Nikki

Diagnosed last spring. Currently take Nuvigil and valium. Nuvigil has been a life saver!

Hello, it looks like there hasnt been much activity. Well I have not been diagnose yet but have been dealing with this for 17 years now. I am inthe process of being diagnosed. I currently take Provigil and Nuvigil. I alternate them. I take Melatonin or some anti-depressant to help me sleep. I am having a very hard time at work, my doc isnt giving me enough days for FMLA and my job constantly threatens me. This N stuff is really depressing
