Hope this helps.
On the knowing things, we all learn at the start, I learn't everything from websites like this and I am on a couple of others, one has around 15,000 members and we just talk sleep apnea, I can give you the link to that if you want, it's free like this one. Also Goggle sleep anea and you'll get a heap of webites that you can learn from.
On the concentration, most peple really start to feel the effect of CPAP after between 3-6 of continuious usage, we are all different and it depends a lot on the serverity of sleep apnea you have and how long you have had it. Hope that helps a bit, the most important thing is you keep using it every night.
Yes, please send the link to the other site you like. And you said that people feel better in 3-6. Is that months? :)
The great thing is that I do use it every night. Don't even think about not using it. I know that I am sleeping better. I used to wake up a lot at night. My husband's snoring kept me up. Fact is, my sleep apnea kept me up - I don't hear him snore anymore!
The other site I am on pretty much all day is
http://www.apneaboard.com
There are a number of other sites as well.
This site not only has posts like this one, but all CPAP manuals, how to's and a link to the software called Sleeyhead we use to track our CPAP data, if you want to use that software I can help you with it as well. It all helps our therapy if we can take alot of this into our own hands, let me know if you need some help.
Maybe your husband needs a sleep study?
I just called my home health provider to ask questions about masks and he told me that my card was read off my machine and that I am at 100% compliance and that my machine is working great! He said that is very rare. I was concerned about leaking, etc. but I guess all is well. I'm going to keep chugging along. I can't get a new mask for another month anyway!
