Sleep Apnea Support Group
Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder characterized by brief interruptions of breathing during sleep. People with sleep apnea partially awaken as they struggle to breathe, but in the morning they may not be aware of sleep disturbances.
2. Cpap won't cure sleep apnea or quality of sleep but it will treat apnea's when they occurr which should in turn help your quality of sleep. I say it won't cure it because if you ever did go off it, it would come back probably the next night. My sleep quality has gone from 1-2 hours non quality sleep to at least 6 hours quality sleep. The only way you can tell is by how you feel the next day.

At the second sleep study, relax, do the same as the last, you must have slept for them to get a reading. Ask as many questions as possible. Read as much as you can about sleep apnea (I find it quite interesting), more than anything stay positive about the treatment and you will go a long way. By the way, my AHI was 30 and just got my results from my machine and for the last 3 months and averaged 4 and I feel great and refreshed and now jog 4 kilometres a day. Good luck and let us know when and which machine and mask you get.
It really helped me and I don't mind wearing the cpap mask at all. Every time I put it on I think of the nice sleep I am going to have.
