Sleep Apnea Support Group
Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder characterized by brief interruptions of breathing during sleep. People with sleep apnea partially awaken as they struggle to breathe, but in the morning they may not be aware of sleep disturbances.
I'm certain that you are going to be just fine. Even though you have the sleep apnea, they will be giving continuous oxygen. I've had my share of surgeries and I remember being so scared before the first one I almost backed out of having it done. Don't let fear rule your life! Venting is one of those things we all need to do now and then. Don't ever apologize for it! I guess that in some ways, that's one of the reasons we are all here at DS.
So, go and have the surgery done and let us know how you are doing!!!

the CPAP pressure doesnt indicate the severity of your sleep apnea, some severe apnea sufferers have low pressures

Using the CPAP during the work isn't possible because all the air will just escape out of your mouth.
The dentist said he has dealt with this situation before so try to trust him. If he sees that you aren't breathing and your oxygen is dropping he will be able to put an oxygen mask on you until the crisis passes.
You have mild apnea so may not have much of a problem.
I wish you luck and hope you'll report back to us and let us know how you did.
Hugs
