Sleep Apnea Support Group
Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder characterized by brief interruptions of breathing during sleep. People with sleep apnea partially awaken as they struggle to breathe, but in the morning they may not be aware of sleep disturbances.
Hopefully your Neurologist can read your sleep apnea data and make sure you take your sd card with you, if he can read it.
You want him to make sure your pressures are correct and you are getting the right therapy.
Try and get your new mask ASAP, it only takes a couple of days without CPAP to be back to where you were prior to CPAP.
Thanks for the good advice!
do some deep slow breathing upon waking, this gets more oxygen into your system and helps you wake up
I have a horrible time getting up in the morning but not as bad as you. I feel like I'm so exhausted come morning that I "feel" like I am actually getting some rest but who knows. The CPAP hasn't helped me at all. I'm going to see a Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist to see about other options.
Sorry you are going through this hope your doctor can help. I don't think anyone gets it unless they've experienced it. My husband doesn't understand and thinks I'm being lazy.

I finally got my husband to understand because he can now see how out of it I am. You are right - it is so hard for others to understand, especially work.
My sleep apnea data looks good, so I am not sure what is going on. I also have an autoimmune disorder that causes fatigue - really bad fatigue for some folks. Maybe it is the combination of the two. my doctor said that my Circadian Rhythm must be out of order.
The doctor is putting me on a drug for folks with sleep apnea and narcolepsy who have daytime sleepiness. We are trying to get insurance to cover it because it is a controlled substance.
I'll keep you all posted!
