Sleep Apnea Support Group
Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder characterized by brief interruptions of breathing during sleep. People with sleep apnea partially awaken as they struggle to breathe, but in the morning they may not be aware of sleep disturbances.

In my case, the in-home study was provided enough information for the real test, which showed that I have "severe" sleep apnea. Therefore, I am on a CPAP machine every night now for probably the rest of my life. This has all happened in the past two months.
My wife did notice my snoring, but nothing else that pointed to sleep apnea. For me, my only noticeable symptom was that I was extremely tired in the late afternoon and early evening to the point that I would fall asleep without warning (only while in my chair at home, not driving, or anything dangerous). That was very unusual for me since a year before, and all my previous life, an afternoon nap had been always impossible for me.
If possible, I would recommend that you talk your husband into getting a sleep study of some kind. Untreated sleep apnea is very dangerous.
I am always exhausted and I never have ever felt well rested in my entire life. As I get older it does seem to get much worse.
People that use the machine say it makes a big difference.
A lady told me she never knew how well it felt to be rested.
