Sleep Apnea Support Group
Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder characterized by brief interruptions of breathing during sleep. People with sleep apnea partially awaken as they struggle to breathe, but in the morning they may not be aware of sleep disturbances.
I feel like we are in the same boat. Yes, prior to CPAP, I've had days where I've slept sixteen hours or more. My sleep study proved that I spent 97% of my sleep in Stages I and II. I never hit any deep or REM sleep.
I also know that my hypothyroidism and autoimmune problems are contributing to my fatigue. But, I also know that using the CPAP has helped.
