I do try to let my friends know about skin cancer and what has happened to me. I hope seeing my scars and hearing my story will make them think about what they are doing......
I am so sorry to hear about your new BCC. I go back in September to get skin checked again.
Hugs!

I so agree with your comments on prevention! I almost shot my oldest daughter when she came home for a few days and was sunburned! She has very fair skin, blond hair etc. and I could have just cried. I reminded her about what all I had gone through and then showed her the spots that still have to be treated. Why do so many think it can't happen to them! I went out and bought her the biggest bottle of sunscreen I could find and begged her to USE IT!
I have also found out that you can sometimes get free sunscreen samples from dermatologists offices during this time of year. I have stocked up and go to a park nearby and hand it out to Mommas to use on their kids and themselves. I have gotten some very strange looks but then the mothers thank me when I SHOW them why.
It's worth the stares and comments to know that maybe one of those babies will NOT have to go through what all of us have!
My love to you Sweetie and please let us know how things turn out.

Linda
