I have joined the group in the past year and I just had a very small area on my face removed that was skin cancer, but not the real serious kind. There are 3 kinds I am told and mine was a combination of the less serious kind. .
Anyway, you mentioned about being covered up when you go outside and using towels.,
Years ago there was a hat that looks like a baseball cap but has cloth that hangs around the bottom of the hat to protect the area around your head, such as the back of the neck and side areas. it would look better than the towels.
I don't know if they still have them, but you maybe the Cancer Society would know if they are still available. I think in Canada, anyway, they originated from the Cancer Society.
You also mentioned about having moles. I don't think all moles are cancerous, but your doctor could tell if they are serious.
You were also talking about using 70 sun screen. I think a while back a doctor or someone was talking about the different sun screen strengths and I think they said that the high ones aren't really doing as much as you think and the lower ones, e.g. 30 to 45 are just as good, I may be wrong, but maybe you could find something about the facts on the internet.
You can just about find anything on here.......lol.
Well, take care and maybe we'll hear from you again.
