I know I know, it's just basal cell!!
I went thru a traumatic MOHS in 2008 where they ended having to do major reconstructive, basically took my upper lip off and put in back. My Dr did a great job considering, but I still feel disfigured and ugly!!

Well I have to do it again , I am so freaking out this time it is right under the inside of my eye. ( if you wear glasses it is right where the glasses rest) I wear glasses, I have put it off as long as I could my Dr said no more it has to be done..

Last time I went into such depression, don't know how to handle it. HELP!

PS, this time I don't have insurance I have to go thru medical/State health , and you hear such horror stories. Literally sick to my stomach.

I am so very sorry to hear this campy. I am keeping you in my thoughts. The most important thing to remember is you need to have it removed to stay healthy. We are beautiful with our "battle wounds." My melanoma was on my back so the results of the WLE are not as obvious as it may be for others...but I understand what you mean when you say you feel disfigured and ugly. But, we aren't. We have FOUGHT our battle and these are our scars! I am going to be getting a tattoo to put near my scar...

I'm sorry to hear that you have it back again. I deal with a lot of squamous cell cancers all over my legs, arms, hips, etc., but thankfully never on my face yet.

I'm on medicare because of my disability and have state health insurance as well, but I've had a great surgeon doing my MOHS and other removals. The drs. I've had have been really good.

I pray this is the end of it for you. Just wanted you to know there are some great surgeons even in state care.

I am sorry to hear your sad news. But ok. I also had Mohs (left upper lip) and reconstructive surgery last June - still can't feel my face!. I had to get Medicaid. My doctor actually was a Mohs specialist who graduated from Harvard Medical School. He is building his practice here and he's very smart and I feel lucky to have had him. You can still be proactive and research the doctors and where they got their training. Don't see a big dark wall in front of your path in life, but rather a ladder, lifting you up higher, making you better, stronger and prouder of being the person you are. Be thankful your dr. is good and he found it! Be thankful that you live in a country where, even without insurance, you will be healed. Don't go into a depresson. After my surgery, I went to Ihop to eat. Continue to be yourself and you win. So you hit rock bottom...now the only way to go is up!

I had a skin cancer on my nose and i got it treated with my Dermatologist. I have been taking the product B-3 Nicotinamide for some time and it is incredible for your skin. This product has helped me prevent skin cancer from returning. I normally buy mine form Amazon or eBay. I can only say try it.

I hope everyhing went well i know this is an old post but google bill o'leary from phuket cured his own skin cancer with blacksalve go to blacksalveinfo.com anyone who has skin cancer this helps also castor oil and baking soda coated on top of lesion look it up both up and frank incense oil for skin cancer..
