I recently found out that my mom's side of the family is very prone to all cancers and all the women for the last three generations have died specifically of breast cancer. Also, my grandmother had skin cancer on her nose. Recently (over the last two months) I've noticed that I'm getting moles and what look like freckles around my neck, chest, and back. I don't wanna be paranoid but is there any way I could have some kind of test done to make sure there's nothing wrong with me? I wanna be safe and smart about this because my risk factors are high but I also don't wanna be a hypochondriac. I would really apprechiate any input from someone who has gone through this process because I'm only a 17 year old Med Assist and I have no idea what to do...
I prefer a dermatologist that works only with cancer patients , and they are usually in a Cancer center .
Everybody should have a yearly test for skin, and others when one gets a physical yearly, I did , also my kids since they were born till now as adults they have a yearly physical.
