Questions - will this be a heavily religious page?

Are you offended by people expressing themselves with whatever words work for then, including profanity?

I'm new to auto immune but I avoid religion and prissy people.

I am glad to see you learning about Auto Immune Disease, specifically Sjogren's.

May I ask if there was anything in particular about the invitation to the FB Auto Immune page that upset you?

I understand wanting to know that ahead of time if a group will have a religious affiliation, and that is a valid question to ask,
but I'm wondering about the comment about avoiding prissy people?

I don't know if you and poison angel have had words in the past and maybe you think she is prissy or maybe you just plain don't like prissy people?

I am having a hard time telling from the tone of your post if you are picking on poisonangel or if this is the way you would normally talk to someone starting their own group/site.

The tone of your post makes it really hard to tell...I can at least tell you that I have yet to meet a prissy person here on the Sjogren's forum.

I meant no offense - honestly. And it was not meant in any way personally toward Poisonangel.

I have just not had good experience with the small groups and I don't want to put my snarky self in a place where people will be offended by me being me.

I've just received a tentative diagnosis of Sjogrens and I'm not taking it very well. The last thing I want or need is another f##king diagnosis. But...it does explain the additional issues I've been having for a few years although not many solutions.

I guess I'm already not good company and maybe I should just back out of here because I'm obviously already causing trouble.

Getting used to any new DX is not easy. Sjogren's can take a long time to DX which is stressful, and since the disease is progressive, it can be scary at times, and nobody likes to add more DX' s at the end of their name. So, I think everyone here can empathize with you there.

Regarding the post in question, I know you to be an intelligent person, so I have a feeling you can understand that your original post came across as patronizing. I've also read many of your other posts and know that you are capable of asking similar questions without the sarcasm.

Your response about not being good company, causing trouble, and backing out of the group is passive aggressive.

Not one other group member has jumped in on this thread and indicated that you are not welcome or that you are causing trouble.

I asked straight forward questions about your post that confused me, but I never implied that you should leave nor that you were causing trouble.

No one in this forum created an environment that would make you feel like a trouble maker or bad company. This is your only post, and I am the only one who responded.

So, if you choose to leave, it is of your accord, and there is no indication that any group members created a hostile environment for you.

Leaving this group is your personal choice, made by you only.

LuLu that's hilarious. All of it - but most of all your inability to see yourself. Counseling is a great aid to self-awareness. You might want to give that a try for yourself before you start throwing around clinical terms like passive aggressive. Mirrors are helpful as well.

I was actually trying not to say I won't continue with this group because you're here. But...since you always manage to misinterpret my words and read unintended motives into them I'll just be clear. I don't need the hassle of two groups with you.

By the way, you chastised me a while back for what you said was scolding like a schoolteacher. Now we're even.
