Single Parenting Support Group
Today being raised by a single parent is not uncommon. About three in ten children live in a single parent home. The most common type of single parent home is one with only a mother. However, single father homes are the fastest growing type of family situation; 60% growth in the last ten years alone.
My sweet boy is a little older (21 months) it's SO hard to do alone. Exhausting, overwhelming, and it's very hard when others don't understand all the complications that come with being the only parent. Everything requires taking the child with you or finding childcare which can feel impossible at times. Add Covid? Ack!
My husband (divorce is taking for-ever damn court backlog!) is in rehab currently- whatever- he only went because it's cold and he was homeless. I have zero hope it will take. Zero- less than zero.
I'm not actively looking really either but, certainly thinking how nice it would be to have a supportive partner and good, strong male role model for my little boy.
I havent even thought about dating or having anyone. Just focusing on my child :)
