Today being raised by a single parent is not uncommon. About three in ten children live in a single parent home. The most common type of single parent home is one with only a mother. However, single father homes are the fastest growing type of family situation; 60% growth in the last ten years alone.

Hi Everyone,

After receiving a ton of requests, we've created a new Single Dads Community.

We're hoping Single Dads becomes a thriving community, and look forward to seeing any members that are interested come on over and be one of the first to join and start new discussions about the unique challenges and issues that single dads face.

Hi I am a single dad with four sons 7-14 yrs old and find life hard at times but am regularly reminded of how lucky I really am.
Thanks Doug for creating this topic as its a little different for single dads as I am sure replies will explain and in some cases more difficult compared to a single mum.
I hope there are other single dads with their opinions on this I hope to hear your views.
This is a great site Doug and look forward to meeting some of the gentle and kind people on here. A.
