Hmmm, well take my advice with a grain of salt (im 21 years old)

*Always have your purse with you or hidden somewhere

*No going out at all until grades are all passing

*Enroll him in a PINS program....well it might be called STARS..depending on where you are....It's basically a really hardcore program for teens in trouble....it requires drug testing, and they will keep track of his grades, will enforce a curfew and he can get in a LOT of trouble for not being on time etc

He's probably going to flip out...but it's for the best.

I can not give you advise but I can say do not accept unhealthy behavior.. Talk to all his teachers all his friends and find out the real deal!

Well I dont know how old your son is, but at a certain age sex does come up. Talk to him about it. Single parenting is hard, I'm a single parent too. The best thing I can say is put yourself in his shoes and try and understand how he is feeling but at the same time ask him to TRY and do the same for you, you definetly need to tell him what's going on with you and let him know how you feel. Keep talking to him and advising him but don't nagg on his choices, offer help or maybe he wants to talk about it, you must find the right time though its tricky cause sometimes teenagers just don't wanna talk at a time, also try and find out what is going on in his life. Breakup maybe? Feeling of hopelessness? No sense of direction? Trying to be cool? Too much free time? Some of these things make kids or teenagers do drugs. Be understanding an open minded if he does tell you anything. I know its probably hard with whatever illness you may have but kids need to know you are there for them no matter.

i have a 11 year old who i am able to talk to about anything.. the only way it still works we talk i mean is i try to be open as possible and respect full .... watch your responces dont respond in anger and above all talk to him and be honest.. the largest thing is if he is getting into truble try to fill his time with things you pick and spend time whih him if you can... i understnad you have a lot on your plate..

I think you need to find a program for trouble kids that is going through a lot since the other parent is not in the home. Its true what dncn4lyfe77 wrote to you, hard core program will keep track of his grades and will drug test him for drugs etc. I live in Northern Ca and I don't know if they have a program here for that but my kids grades are passing so I am not worried about it. I know that you posted this in July but I still wanted to make a comment anyway. I should take my own advice and hide my purse because my kids take money out of it all the time. My son especially because he wants to impress his friends and treat them to things from the store that we had down the street.

hey i advice for you i am 17 and just had a 2nd baby but thats because i have no mom or dad and i had a baby 10 months ago but she died and i jst had anotgher one on the 27th of sep. tell if if he dont stop that it will ruin his life. i ma proud of myself i still go to school and work 2 jobs and still have a baby. tell him he need to stop bacuse oif he dont he will end up tlike me. i am not tring to be mean i am just telling you the truth. also if you have a really good male friend it would probly help him to. i had no dad to talk to and i wish i did or anyone that is male. i hope i helped you if not i can give you more advise if you want

When My daughter did what your son is doing we(wife and I) went to court and took her child(for 7 years).We pretty much left her to her own devices.She survived although she burn the bridge with her son she more less has become a drill sargent with her 3 year old daughter just telling you what we did good luck
