Single Parenting Support Group
Today being raised by a single parent is not uncommon. About three in ten children live in a single parent home. The most common type of single parent home is one with only a mother. However, single father homes are the fastest growing type of family situation; 60% growth in the last ten years alone.

Hello,
I am not new to this site. I once had a profile back 2006 when I was in College. We did a project and mine began with this site. Which actually did help me in my personal life. Currently, I decided to come back on here. Because, I am not 34 years old about to be 35 in June. I had my first child a little girl in April of 2015. I have been single and had only my Mom since I found out I was pregnant.
Her Father has nothing to do with her. He has a Son, Daughter and then a Daughter with me. Three kids heh has 2 years apart. Which he has full custody of now. But, still no matter how much I am nice..and make the first move for him to get to know our daughter and spend time with her as well as siblings getting to know her. It works out for only a few days and then it goes back to him not being around.
I also get no child support. And I am also back in school again for Medical Office Assistant. That way I can have a mommy hour job and better pay/benefits. Working in a doctors office. I am very exhausted..and super happy that in about five weeks will be done with school. It has been a very stressful and scary journey. Since May of last year to be only getting unemployment which is not much at all, only working temp or under the table. And then being a Mom by myself. I also do not have much of a social life. My bestest friends are in other states with their kids and husbands. All we have is the internet or phone to communicate. Man do I miss them so much.
I know I wrote a novel. But this is it..this is my current situation. I'm just looking for people who are in the same situation as myself. Who are not like my friends who are amazing since we were kids. I am very blessed to have them. But they can not relate. They are married and have the man as the provider. While thay stay at home and tend to the kids. Where a single Mom..cleans...cooks...goes to work or scholl or both. Plus laundry cleaning and playing with our child. And worry about funds to pay the bills is constant. I just need a new circle of people who understands how this all feels. Thank you for taking the time to read all this.

I have 3 kids. 24. 17. 15. My 17 yr old has become super defiant. He and his 15 yr old sister have on their own decision stopped going to their dads because he and his household is so toxic. My 15 yr old and myself feel like we have to tip toe around my son who is 17. And physically towers over us and out weighs us. He has become emotionally abusive and on the verge of becoming physically...
Currently I am finishing school while being a single mom that is coping with the terrible 2's earlier than expected LOL. She will be 2 in April.
Thankfully I will be done with school on March 16. And hopefully will starting a new job on the 20th.
so you will see me on here more often in a couple weeks.
