Today being raised by a single parent is not uncommon. About three in ten children live in a single parent home. The most common type of single parent home is one with only a mother. However, single father homes are the fastest growing type of family situation; 60% growth in the last ten years alone.
Hey there I am 26 years old an a single mother to three. I have a 7 year old son 5 year old daughter and a 4 year old son. It is just me and my three children their father gets them when he can due to him working off on the road. They are always giving me a hard time with not listening doing thing on purpose that they know they aren't allowed to do. They know exactly what to do to push my buttons. An will try to push then even further. It's like they act out just so they can get attention. But the thing is I give them attention I know they don't get all the one on one like they should but it is very hard to do that when I an the only one.

Sorry you're having a difficult time right now. I'm sure you're giving your kids as much attention as you can. Possibly their attention seeking behavior is combined with some rules testing. They could be testing you and your family rules to see whether they are still going to be held to them. As much consistency and as much attention and reassurance as you can give them will help in the long run.
Hang in there. You and your kids will get through this and it will eventually get easier.
