Today being raised by a single parent is not uncommon. About three in ten children live in a single parent home. The most common type of single parent home is one with only a mother. However, single father homes are the fastest growing type of family situation; 60% growth in the last ten years alone.
Be sure your tapped in to any and all state assistance that you qualify for too. Being a single parent is a lot of work - not having to worry and medical bills or where your next meal is coming from helps ease stressor.
If you can, try to get established with a daycare center too.. if it's not already a need, it's a good backup for when you need a respite day - they'll love the social interactions and different environment. And if nothing else you can get a solid few hours sleep - you can do this! But raising kids isnt just a 'you' thing - it really does take.
