Hey guys, I'm new here. I joined up because I've been struggling with a decision. I'm dating a new guy, for a couple months now, and I'm trying to figure out when the best time is to introduce him to my son (who is 3). Any advice? 


My ex and I split when my son was only a few months old. Since then I've tried dating a couple of guys who've all found out about my son and complicated to deal with ex and ran. I don't want that to happen again. This new guy knows about my son, and seems really interested in meeting him. Is it too soon to introduce the two?

That is a tough decision.

Does he already know about the 'complicated deal' with your ex? If not, maybe that's a good place to start. If he can handle that then maybe he can one day meet your son. A couple months is really not that long compared to a life-time. You guys may still be finding out what kind of person the other one is. Does your son have a good support system? (Other men like uncles, family friends. or grandpas) who can absorb the impact if things fall apart?

Whatever you decide I hope it works out well for all of you.

Hello I struggle with this as well its hard to tell when its the right time to introduce a guy to my daughter. I dont introduce any guys to her because I want to be sure they will be there for a while. Having a complicated ex is something that the guy will have to be able to handle and then you can introduce your son but that would be after a few more months of dating the guy. I hope it works out for you.
