Single Parenting Support Group
Today being raised by a single parent is not uncommon. About three in ten children live in a single parent home. The most common type of single parent home is one with only a mother. However, single father homes are the fastest growing type of family situation; 60% growth in the last ten years alone.
His opinion is that he has other kids and they are fine, so these ones will be too. I disagree. it only takes a split second for a life altering thing to happen, and he doesn't care.
Yes, we were in a loving relationship - but ever since I asked him to move out - he has become horrific. Example, my daughter has/had pneumonia - he didn't even come see her, we were in the hospital and testing etc and he said sleep was more important.
- I invited him over for father's day - and he said no. I made him dinner, the girls had crafts for him and again he said no - that if he couldn't stay there - he wouldn't come over no strings attached for that request.
Last night - I asked him to come see the girls and said I would make dinner - but I asked if he would change a lightbulb in their room and he said no. He wouldn't come over so he would do chores - no way. (it was one lightbulb in a ceiling fan, didn't think it was too much to ask)
