I am so sorry this happened to you. I only have one child and it has been yeeeaars since he was that young, I think the two year old might be old enough to understand that he has to wait a minute for something if you are helping / feeding / changing the baby though.

And as far as the baby's father leaving you, I know it is hard now, but if the other choice was raising the boys with a man who thinks cheating is ok then maybe it will work out better in the long term for the kids to be around men who treat women well - even if right now that's only any family friends, uncles or grandpas they might have.

I know it's tough now, but my son's father and I separated while I was pregnant and in my situation it worked out best for my son and I.

Hello, when my ex left me, my oldest was two and my youngest was just three months old...I feel like everything you just spelled out was exactly what I felt. Nearly four years later, me and my beautiful boys are doing pretty darn good...there are a lot of hard moments...some days where I literally collapse...but what's gotten me through it all is remembering that it's all for them. You have to put your emotions aside for that POS...I promise you, once you do that and come to the conclusion that every decision you make is for the babies and you, everything becomes clear, less muddied...even if and when he comes crawling back into your doorstep...you got this girl

Do you have any family nearby to offer support? Or do you know of any pre-teen or teenage girls that could possibly come and be a mother's helper type thing? Is your ex really not planning to help AT ALL?

As mom's we ask ourselves these questions and doubt our abilities all the time. I can tell you though, that no matter what you will make it. How do I know this? Because there is simply no other way. You just have to. And that might sound harsh but many times after getting through particularly difficult struggles when I get out on the other side and ask myself how the heck I made it...well, I just kept on truckin because there wasn't anyone else that was going to do it. It's going to be hard, no doubt but you CAN do it.

It's still hard for me to admit, but with the cheating, lying, stealing... my wife is a good mother, just a bad wife. I have to look past this and realize she will treat my son better than she treated me. Is the father a good father? Can you trust him alone with the children? I've heard of 50/50 custody arrangements where the time is split by day. This would allow you some time to care for yourself and get some sleep.

how are you feeling today? I am a single mom of only one child. No support to speak of. If you have a home and safe place to be with the kids, relish in it as much as you can. I find it difficult to put me first, but I realize now, that I must put myself first. Are you ok?
