Hello all! I am a 28 yr old single father. I have a 7 year old daugher and the mother and I have been seperated since she was about 2 years old. Long storty short my daugher has an allergy to cats/dogs, and over the Thanksgiving holliday she was around a dog for a few hours visiting my family. I obvisouly take all precautions to avoid contact with the dog and to avoid exposure. Mind you this scenario only happens once or twice a YEAR for holliday gatherings, etc. Now, I am basically being punished by the mother saying I am putting our daughter in danger for health complications. The mother is not letting me have any phone communication with my daughter now and it is devastating to me. I am sure it is really affecting my little girl too as we would talk on the phone every night to eachother when I do not have her at my home. It has been two weeks now and i am getting more and more sad and depressed as they days go on. I actually have gotten an attourney and am going to court to get an order for parent/child communication. I am just wondeirng if anyone else has had a situation like this. I was told even with a court order, she still may not even answer the phone when I call. She is so incredibly difficult to deal with and I am looking for any insight on how to make this court process and child communication easier to deal with. Thank you all for the insight!
