Dealing with the death of my mom, selling her house, moving, meds that don't work anymore, mortgages, BIG bills and charlatans out to steal the money......WAY too much stress all at once especially for an ex active alcoholic with Bipolar 2 Disorder?

Everyday I feel more and more sick. Being in pain every day, I've learned to disguise it. So well that others don't believe my pain when I speak of it. Needing help but only receiving negative responses, I find my way but pay for it later. I absolutely need the rest but there's pressing things to be done.

Ugh my depression is really being triggered by the grief of losing my mom. Ugh it sucks. I wish this pain would leave me already.

I am actually dealing with a great many things that I feel I can't handle at this moment (more so than usual!). I won't go into the gory details, but I will share with you how I have made it this far, and hopefully some of what I have to say will be at least a little bit helpful. If nothing else, you will know that you are not alone in your concerns and feelings.
My strategy has actually become very simple. It is basically forcing myself to set small goals, and being proud of myself and actively acknowledging when I achieve them. If it's get through today without breaking down, then I just try to get through the day. Sometimes it's as small as getting through the next couple of hours, or even just getting out of bed and doing something, be it calling someone, eating breakfast, or even just watching half an hour of TV.
Don't mistake me, I do understand that you are dealing with some pretty major things and you can't always just look towards the end of the day. So am I. When things get really overwhelming and I know I have to deal with some of the big things, I triage. I decide what is important and what I can get by without doing, and I figure out how to focus only on the crises. And if that means I don't have it in me to take a shower that day, you know what, oh well. If I have sacrifice going to the grocery store to be able to put my time and energy into something vital, hey, I can live on canned soup and pita chips for a little while. But at the end of the day, when I can lay my head down, pop my sleeping pills, and know that I have gotten through one more day without having a complete breakdown, that's good enough for me.
I wish you all the strength in the world. You WILL see your way clear to the other side of this, somehow.
