Shyness Support Group
Shyness is a feeling of insecurity that certain people experience while being among others, talking with others, asking favors of others, etc. The initial cause of shyness can vary. Scientists have located some genetic data that supports the hypothesis that shyness is at least partially genetic.

In a previous discussion posting, I mentioned that I have a compulsion to share anything positive that I find in this world where there's frequently too much negativity. I feel almost bombarded with bad new - turn on the television or radio, open a newspaper or magazine, overhear a conversation in a public place, and you will find more to instill fear, worry, and complacency than you will find that instills hope, love of humanity, or a desire to do good for oneself and one's fellow human beings.
Let's help each other find hope. Please share any positive news, quotations, or thoughts that you know.

My nieces told me they love me yesterday.
My 85 year old grandmother just called to say hi-
She and my grandfather (92 aand will 93 in mid February) still are able to live at home.
There are tons more I be thankful but as I mentioned I am sick so that is all I can think of.
I have a warm home to live in. I have a friend that does not have the warm part and I worry about her.

I often get frustrated very easily, and this poem reminds me to look for good things in the world, and not to dwell on my angry/frustrated feelings.
