One of my biggest challenges now is finding something to wear to work. My shingles are on my back, side, and front (left) at my waist. I can't wear anything that has a waistband -- way too painful. Even my underwear is very uncomfortable if I don't wear bikinis that are really low. I can't wear panty hose, and I won't wear a short dress without hose. I've worn long dresses a few days, but I don't much care for long dresses (and I only own two).

I found a couple pair of knit pants that aren't too bad. I made two pair of pants with a drawstring waist, and they are two sizes too big. They look really weird, and I get some pretty strange looks from people who don't know what's going on. I work in a large professional law office, and large, baggy pants aren't a standard mode of dress. The baggy pants I made from soft cotton are okay, but the ones I made from linen are too scratchy and hurt too much to wear. I'll alter them after this is over. I can wear them around the house to lounge around in.

If your shingles are on your torso, what do you do to keep your clothes from making the shingles hurt? I'd welcome any ideas! And let me say that I am so sorry you all have more experience at this than I do! I wish you would all heal today!!
