I had unprotectes sex (both vaginal and oral sex) with a new guy last week. I've recently noticed some tiny bumps on the sensitive skin area after a series of tingling and burning sensations. Also, I experience pain during urination. What happenes to me? Is this just an irritation or herpes? Please help me!

Your symptoms sound like herpes. The virus often shows up symptoms with itching, burning sensations, pain when urinating and herpes blisters. The first outbreak is also more severe than other ones. You may notice pain, fever or body aches. So, you should get tested for sure. If the test is possitive, antiviral medications are available to treat herpes

but I've heard that there is no cure for a herpes infection, the virus stays in the body and can be reactivated. I'm very scared now and actually too shy to meet a gynaecologist

keep calm! The infection isn't as scary as you think. It's the highly contagious STI, so milllions of people around the world have it. Though it can't be treated completely, treatment helps relieve herpes symptoms and prevent it from coming back. You can take acyclovir, valtrex meds to treat the infection. Prosurx cream with FDA approved is also effective. I used to apply the cream to destroy the virus, and there's no outbreak until now. Also, It's important to reduce stress and focus on lysine foods. You should meet a doctor for sure, as the first outbreak seems to be more severe

Thanks for your useful tips. Some people on other forums also recommend prosurx to me. Did you have irritation or side effects when applying it? My sensitive skin area seems to be more burning and itching, so I've a little doubt. And I'm considering going to a gynaecologist's office to check.

Luckily, there was no irritation when I applied prosurx cream. Because of your worsening symptoms, I encourage you in checking your symptoms with a doctor. Hope you get better soon.
