I have a problem and trying to find the answer online was useless. Maybe someone here can help. I have genital herpes, have had it for several years now, but have only had two occasions (that I know of) when an outbreak was visible. Even then the blisters were barely noticeable, so I'm still very much in the dark on what an outbreak looks like on me.
About a week ago I felt bumps, but they were in a different spot than usual. They were on the bottom of my butt, close to my anus, but they didn't hurt and were firm, not soft or squishy. They aren't clustered or discolored, so I don't think it's genital warts.
Now here's where I was stupid. I decided to pop them (I know, I know, very stupid idea). It hurt to do so, but what came out is what has me so confused. I thought that maybe they were pimples or in grown hairs, but instead of puss or goo, small, almost clear "balls" came out. They were kinda firm and didn't squish or pop when pinched between my fingers. After that the skin flattened and just bled a lot.
Two people told me that they were probably cysts caused by shaving. Any ideas?

The bumps cleared up on their own, and I really do think they may have been from shaving. I haven't shaved that area since and have had no more problems. Fortunately, I don't get a lot of hair growth, so it's not dire for me to shave. I can still pull off wearing a bathing suit and my partner doesn't seem to care either way. I'll just stick to trimming! Thanks for your responses joy :)
