what now?

so i wrote my letters to my parents and only my dad has responded to it so were gonna talk on friday abotu it but i know my mom had read it she's being nice to me and i hate that cuz i just want her to say what's on her mind. but i have to give her time to sort through it all. but now what do i do? do i ask my dad to get me counseling since i know my mom wont? i just don't really know where to go from here. what do you guy's think>

I think the next thing for you to do is to take care of yourself as best you can until Friday when you talk about things with your dad. There's nothing you have to rush into doing right away.

If during that conversation it feels right to ask him to get you counseling, you can definitely do that. Just see how the conversation goes.

And if you don't say everything that you want to in this conversation, there can be others right?

In relation to your mom not getting you counseling - how do you know that she won't? Have you already asked her? Or is it more of a really strong guess?

If you'd like to have a conversation about the letter with your mom, how about asking her when the two of you could talk?

This sounds like a big step for you - writing the letter and giving it to them. Good for you, Sweetie.

With the section I wrote about your mom, what I wanted to suggest was that you ask your mom something like, "When would be a good time to talk about the letter I gave you? Can we find a time to do that together?"

So the first step with her is to ask her when she'd be free to do that.
