Among other things these past few years, I've learned that my father sexually abused me as a child. Coming to understand this has been a daily struggle for me.
But this week just pushed everything past what I can bear.
On Monday I was sent to the hospital with the police because I was suicidal. The police found out that I had been abused as a child. Because of this they sent an officer to my house on Tuesday to talk to me about investigating and reporting what happened.
And all of this also got me thinking about my ex-fiance and the relationship we had. While I never really admitted it, I knew there was something wrong about it. I was talking to a friend last night and she told me outright what I had been secretly scared to admit. That he was raping me. I told him no. I told him I didn't want to. And he did it anyways.
After this week it's just too much. I don't know how to deal with it anymore. How do I go on after this?

Each day at a time, that's how you go on. You are so strong and made it thru so much, don't let any of them win. I was abuse sexually by my dad and physically by my mother from a small child. It's sad when children are sexually abused somehow other preditors can pick up on that. That is why abuse continues thru out your life until we can heal and learn what to look for. Are you safe from both of them now? Are you away from your father and ex fiance? Honestly I wish I had answers for you but all I can do is offer my empathy because I can't deal with this stuff either. I'm so sorry for what you are feeling.

So sorry you are going through this. I was abused by my father. I have my moments of bad depression and suicidal thoughts but have better moments. I would recommend finding a therapist who specialises in sexual abuse therapy and having therapy to help you to cope and deal with this trauma. Im on a healing journey myself but I do know that survivors can reach a place of peace. I wish you all the best.

I don't have contact with my ex-fiance anymore. He's also moving out of the country. And I don't see my father very often. Only a few times a year, and I make sure I'm never alone with him.
I do see a therapist. I was seeing one for 4 years, and she recently left her position at my school, so I can't see her anymore. I've just started seeing someone else, but it takes me a long time to trust someone, and don't know how to get help for this right now.
