To start with, I get very upset when I hear on the news about paedophiles. I feel such anger and anguish, when they get light sentences. I also feel very alone at these times.
So, ...good news! Here in Australia, there's a major investigation going on ('royal commission") into the way child sex abuse has been dealt with and covered up in institutions. There was a lot on the news last night - so much TALK about the issue, and the highest catholic priest in this country had to answer a heap of questions about how his church has covered up child sex abuse in its ranks.
There was also an interview with the parents of a victim who suicided. They had a lot to say!!!
It was great to see so much focus on this, so much air time, and the heads of the institutions having to FACE UP.
In time, about 5,000 victims of childhood sex abuse are going to give testimony.

I wish that sex abuse didn't happen to kids!!!

I was partly raised in the Catholic church. I am horrified
about the child sex abuse committed by those "priests"!!!!!!
