You already are that brave. you are here and reading and thinking about it. You will get there at your own pace.

healing can be a beautiful thing if you don't mind the bruises once in a while and you pick yourself up after you have a little time to sulk about it..

I always give myself some time to sulk before I try again. it helps but that's me.

My daughter was abused,I come here for the wisdom of these brave survivors.I tell my daughter there is no shame in speaking about her abuse,the blame belongs to the abuser.She sometimes blames herself for all we go through (endless driving to appts.,paying sometimes for those appts and so on.I again tell her the fault is not hers.Look at Elizabeth Smart,the Olympic gymnasts and countless others who tell without shame.When we start talking and putting the blame where it belongs perhaps then people will take notice and laws will become what it should be.Hugs!
