so after a little over a year and half of therapy im finally past this sexual abuse...i finally am not scared or .well i have my monets....but for the most part im not ashamed of myself. ive even gone on a date with a guy and have opened myself to meeting new people.

i have a question tho....u see how oral sex has the word sex in it....and if someone forces u to have sex its rape....i was wondering if someone forces themselves to do oral sex on u...is that rape? a type of rape? im just wondering...ive always wondered..but never wanted to ask.

Legally that depends on the jurisdiction. In every practical way, and in many jurisdictions, it's rape.

I'd personally define rape as any non-consensual sexual penetration of any part of a person's body by any part of a person's body or anything else. And that includes cases where, due to age, incapacity, understanding, or any other reason, meaningful informed consent could not be given or where 'consent' was given under duress.

So, yes. I's say someone forcing oral sex on you is rape.

Yes it does depend on the state you live in, but most states define sexual abuse by penetration with anything against someone's will.

yeah i dont think its rape ..well for me anyways....im still a virgin....the only thing taken from those years was my innocent naivete....

In the state of NJ oral sex is considered penetration if performed on anyone under 18, and if a person under 18 is coerced to perform it on someone else and does, the coercerer is the perpetrator. It depends on the state you are in; the laws of each state are all online if you wanted to look it up. So sorry for all you've been thru but glad you are working to conquer it and move forward.

In some states there are crimes such as 'Gross Sexual Imposition" which generally cover any forced sexual activity. It may not be called "Rape" but is is a crime and the penalties can be severe. Most states have a wide variety of charges available to prosecutors. Any sex act one can imagine will fit somewhere. Legislators decided when acts were more serious and there fore, have more severe penalties. Often any kind of forced sex act with a 18 year old, will have a less severe penalty that the same act forced on a 15 year old which may have a less severe penalty than the same act with a ten year old.

In many cases, a child who was abused has many years after turning 18 to report the offense.

The wide variety of options available for prosecutors is just one reason a person who is a victim needs to talk to a prosecutor or at least a law enforcement officer who is familiar with criminal sexual abuse laws. together, the prosecutor and the victim can determine which option is best for them.

There must be a reasonably good chance for successful prosecution, an a he-said-she-said is often not enough to convince a jury the sexual act happened. .

Depending on where you are it is rape and or assault. but it should be considered a form of rape in my opinion.
